Description of Classes

Come join the fun! Our classes are small and intimate, 6 students per class. This allows us to give more one on one attention to each student. Our class fee includes use of all of the equipment necessary to complete your project, cake pans, apron, turntable, spatula’s, scissors, disposable decorating bags, decorating tips, gel colors, boards and boxes.

The only thing you have to bring is cake mix and icing ingredients. A description of ingredients needed are listed below.

 

Baking and Buttercream Basics:

Class Fee - $35    2 Hr. Session   (14 yrs. and older)

Learn the basics of mixing the batter, greasing the pan, baking temperatures and leveling the cake.

Learn how to mix a recipe of my favorite Buttercream.

Learn how to use a decorating bag and the basic star tip and writing tip.

Learn how to ice a cake layer.

Bring to class-1 Pillsbury Yellow Cake Mix, 1 Betty Crocker Yellow Cake mix, 6 cracked eggs, 1 cup of oil, 2lb. Powder Sugar, 1 stick of butter and 2 C. of White Solid Vegetable Shortening

 

Using Basic Decorating Tips:

Class Fee - $35    2 Hr. Session   (14 yrs. and older)

Learn how to ice a ¼ sheet cake.

Learn how to use basic tips:

Learn how to transfer a design.

Bring to class-1 Pillsbury Yellow Cake Mix, 1 Betty Crocker Yellow Cake mix, 6 cracked eggs, 1 cup of oil, 2lb. Powder Sugar, 1 stick of butter and 2 C. of White Solid Vegetable Shortening

 

Cupcake Baking and Decorating Basics:

Class Fee - $35    2 Hr. Session    (14 yrs. and older)

Learn how to portion batter and baking tips

Learn how to pipe and decorate cupcakes

Simple Swirl, decorate with sprinkles and simple techniques to make fancy Gourmet Cupcakes.

Learn how to make drop flowers

Learn how to use the grass tip

Basic Flowers – Roses and More

Class Fee $35    2 Hr. Session    (14 yrs. and older)

Learn how to frost a 2 layer cake

Learn how to texture the side of a cake

Learn how to smooth ice the side of a cake

Learn how to make several different flowers

using the #104 rose tip. Pansy, Daffodil, violet,

Ribbon Rose and 3 layer Rose

Building a Tiered Cake:

Class Fee - $35    2 Hr. Session    (14 yrs. and older)

Prerequisite – Basic Flower/Rose Class or previous Wilton Course 1

Learn how to smooth ice the cake.

Learn how to use dowels to support the cake

Tips will be given on packaging and transporting a tiered cake.

Bring to class-1 Pillsbury Yellow Cake Mix, 1 Betty Crocker Yellow Cake mix, 6 cracked eggs, 1 cup of oil, 2lb. Powder Sugar, 1 stick of butter and 2 C. of White Solid Vegetable Shortening

 

Advanced Cupcake Decorating:

Class Fee - $35    2 Hr. Session    (14 yrs. and older)

Prerequisite – Cupcake Baking and Decorating Basics or previous Wilton Course 1

Learn how to decorate cupcakes with special tips making specialty flowers like carnations, hydrangea, rosettes and Russian Flowers.

Bring to class-1 Pillsbury Yellow Cake Mix, 1 Betty Crocker Yellow Cake mix, 6 cracked eggs, 1 cup of oil, 2lb. Powder Sugar, 1 stick of butter and 2 C. of White Solid Vegetable Shortening

 

Advanced Decorating using standard tips:

Class Fee - $35    2 Hr. Session    (14 yrs. and older)

Prerequisite – Using Basic Decorating Tips or previous Wilton Course 1

Brush Embroidery                        Swirl/fine lines

Multi-color striped bag                 Ruffles

Basket Weave                              Edible Lace Demonstration

Mom & Me Cupcake Decorating Class (Child 9yrs. and up)

Class Fee $50 per 1 Parent / 1 Child    1 1/2 Hr. Session

Learn how to make a 3 color swirl with buttercream

Learn how to make flowers with special Russian Decorating tips

Learn how to use a grass tip to make a monster cupcake

Cupcakes and Icing will be provided.

Cookie Class

Class Fee - $45
